(July 27 - 7:29 a.m.) Jack Silver, KABC program director, delivered his first video blog with an air of lightness that he spent his first three days looking for the restrooms at the La Cienega compound. As far as the talk line-up, he praised them all, along with the Dodgers.
“I’m a huge Dodger fan,” revealed Silver. “I look forward to going to a lot of games and working with Vin Scully, Rick Monday and Charley Steiner and the whole crew. We’ll see you at Dodger Stadium.’
Silver then ran down the staff he inherited:
“It’s really a great line-up and I’m looking forward to meeting them all,” continued Silver. “No one’s come into my office. They can’t find this place. And day in and day out working on Topic A, Topic B, and Topic C so that every time you tune into the radio station, you hear the hottest stories.”

Tilden is a placeholder who is priced right; nobody is waiting to pick him up after KABC leaves him curbside. FH&F's whole show is that they DON'T discuss the news; they pay for their time, having some kind of deal where Frank Kramer complains that "every day I come in here I lose money!" Imus probably pays KABC, just to claim he is broadcast in the #2 market after failing everywhere else in L.A. Legacy syndicated Hannity has a contract. Levin has to be a freebie.
I am totally curious about Moe Ansari, who pays for the time on his brokered show. What are his ratings? Can't be much different than the rest of the station. Anyone?
Silver, make us proud and take a stiff broom to this carbuncle of a station!
